Thomas A. Hegland
I am an applied microeconomist at the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality. My primary research interests are in labor and health economics, as well as in public finance. My past research has investigated the impact of nursing home payroll subsidies and heterogeneity in the fiscal multiplier by local economic conditions. I received my Ph.D. in economics from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2019 and my B.A. from St. Olaf College.
